Why is it so important to keep the gutters and downpipes clear?
When your gutters or downpipes are full of leaf and debris it often causes the water to overflow back into the eaves and ceilings which can cause serious damage to ceilings, walls, plaster, curtains and carpets.
If the water can’t flow away from your house via the gutters and downpipes, it has only one way to go – straight inside your roof!
Do I need to be home?
No, as long as we can access the front of the house with our ladder we don’t require anyone to be home.
We have our own power supply and enough vacuum hose to reach the whole house from the front drive way.
What areas do you service?
Supreme Gutter Clean have technicians ready to service your home in the Greater Bunbury Region, in and around Busselton as well as Dunsborough. If you live in the South West of WA, then please give us a call.
How long does it take?
Depending on the size of the house and how full the gutters are, the average 4×2 home usually takes 1-2 hrs.
Will there be a big mess after you clean my gutters?
No. We clean your gutters using our wet/dry vacuum that collects all of the debris and sludge that comes out of your gutters. We will also pick up any debris that we miss and clean up after ourselves, leaving your home neat and clean.
How often should the gutters be cleaned?
For properties surrounded by trees or on rural or lifestyle blocks we recommend half-yearly cleaning.
For properties in the suburbs with minimal trees or commercial buildings we recommend yearly cleaning.
I have gutter guards. Doesn’t this keep my gutters clean?
Gutter Guards work well to keep leaves out of your gutters, but each time it rains the dust that has settled on your roof washes through the Gutter Guard forming silt in your gutters. The silt works as a growth medium for moss that thrives in the shade provided by the Gutter Guard leaving it all trapped behind the guard.
Why do I need to clean them in summer if it doesn’t rain?
Leaves that have accumulated over winter dry out in the warmer weather and if you have dry leaves sitting in your gutters during the hot dry months you run the risk of stray embers starting a fire which can quickly move through your roof.
Why are my gutters rusting?
If you have silt and leaf litter sitting in your gutters it will cause corrosion regardless of whether they’re colorbond, zincalume or galvanised, all of which can cost thousands of $$$ to be replaced.
Why can’t I do it myself?
You can, but cleaning gutters by hand can be very time consuming and it’s almost impossible to get all the silt and slop.
There are also health risks associated with cutting your hands (especially on rusty metal), getting bitten by something nasty hiding under the ledge and also falling off the ladder. Not everyone is comfortable with heights or creepy crawlies!
A clean by Supreme Gutter Clean ensures the job is done correctly and efficiently.
How much does it cost?
On average a standard single storey 4 x2 home will cost $250 (inc GST) but this can vary slightly depending on how full or blocked the gutters are.
2 storey homes and commercial buildings quote on inspection.
Other costs may include work platform/scaffold hire or having to remove gutter guards to carry out the cleaning.
